Three Ways to Supercharge Learning
The Power of Social Learning
Learning something new can be fun. It can be a painful process as well. You might be a math star, but spelling and grammar give you the shakes.
You’re not alone because Social Learning is here for you. We humans learn things at different times and rates. Why not find someone who can work with you? Learning shared is much more fun than learning alone.
Spoiler alert: it’s why there are classes at school.
Here are three ways social learning can work for you:
Work with friends on the same school subjects. You can explain tricky concepts and help each other find answers.
Work in small groups in class. Collaborate to communicate. Design that poster, write that story, and solve that math equation. Just be sure to share the workload.
One of the best ways to strengthen your understanding of something is to teach it to someone else. Explain a concept to a friend or your pet hamster (they might not understand, but the practice will help you).
Pro Tip: Respect others' ideas and contributions in a social learning environment. Everyone learns at their own pace, and listening to and valuing different perspectives is a big part of the fun!
