Let’s explore some more deep thinking. If you’re in Australia, you’re on holiday. There is no school, but that doesn’t mean our deep-thinking selves have gone on holiday as well. Many families go caravaning or camping over the Easter break.
The fun part about camping is setting up your space, right? No? Not for you? You prefer the beach where there are waves to ride.
Let’s get the difficult part over with first. Setting up a campsite can be easy if everyone knows their job and gets on with it. You may have to unroll the tent or hammer the pegs into the ground.
Your younger sibling’s job might be to hold a pole while you attach a rope. Your brain is always diving deep into its understanding of the process. Every campsite is different, so your brain has to change its thought patterns. It uses the same knowledge of a campsite but changes it to suit the new one.
Are you aware of the change? This is the great thing about deep understanding. You’re unaware you’re using it until … you’re using it. Your brain did the hard work so your body can follow along easily.
The new campsite’s ground is harder, so you hammer the pegs harder. Or you ask for adult assistance. A gusty wind blows. It wrenches the pole out of your sibling’s hands so you help them. That’s deep thinking. It comes from a deep understanding of the processes involved.
Well, that was hard work. Let’s hit the waves.
